Rankin
Rankin captures the mood of the person he is photographing. He adds different items to the photo to add contrast and give the photograph more vibrant colours. He uses artificial light to capture shadows and facial features. I was attracted to these photographs because they catch my eye, they show peoples personalities in one photo by their facial expressions.

He was a painter and film maker between 1928-1987. Warhol got a degree in fine arts and got a job for glamour magazine, this lead to his marvellous career. akatre
Akatre is a French graphics design studio formed in France, the creators were Valentin Abad, Julien Dhivert and Sebastien Riveron. In there work they use powerful and abstract colour compositions. They also use objects to make their photography more extreme. Most of there studio work is on a plain background and this draws the focus to the person in the centre. Also they use Photoshop to over lap photographs and text.

Akatre edits with painted backgrounds- Developing my ideas
inspired by Garry Winogrand
I took this photo based on many photos taken by the photographer I choose. The blurred and unclear images of this group sets an idea of mystery. In all of Garry Winogrand's photos there is an element of mystery. For example, in one of his photos a group of girls walk past a disabled man without a care in the world.
Garry Winogrand is a portrait and street photographer. He captured images of America and portrayed American life and its social issues. His images are in the moment and taken at random moments, this means in each photo there is a natural emotion. His work inspired me because his work was never imposed and all of his work is in black and white, this makes the photographs seem old. Also a dark or light background makes the people stand out.

In this image the biker is blurred and it stands out because of the white on the dark background. This draw's attention to the biker rather than his surroundings.
In these two photos the people are in the middle of doing something, I took these because Garry Winogrand approached people in the street to take photos of them. While the people were minding their own business, they became the centre of attention.
